How about one low side ponytail that is curly with a small spill of side face curls on the opposite side for balance? It would be elegant but different.

go to your hair salon and look through the magazines, and ask your stylist if they could do that for you and how it would work out. wal-mart has lots ofhair magazines with prom pics in them.

If you have side bangs it would look really cute simply straight.
OR you could keep your bangs straight (putting them to the side of course!) and have the back wavy/curly.
And with any style you decide to do try putting a hair piece that has jewel's in it, whether it be a clip or a pin.

i like the cute little pig tails with shorter hair, half of it back.
use some ribbon like with the half back or all up and the ribbon with take the attention to that i love ribbons in my hair
also try some bobbi pins to put ur bangs back or like kinda twist some sections back and clip them, you can do alot with short hair by just playing around after you get a shower and trying new things!

hi there. Am a hairdresser. Anyway i dont advice you to dye it black. I dont usually recommend client especially caucasians to dye it black because if wont style it always have it blowdry or use curling iron it doesnt look good. your color is just good. if you dye it black and you really want it be ready also coz its gonna be a change for you and you will have to adjust to the new haircolor which you are not used to it. you may not like it.

if you haven't noticed long hair is in-- and yes, with layers and tiny sidebangs. As for me i am tired of this trend. I have short hair with sidebangs and im gonna get it stacked in the back. Short hair is different and i go for something diff!

I had longer hair just like everybody else!! You know side bangs.... etc.
Well, I got so sick of blowdrying it, and so I cut it.
I cut it in a bob w/ several layers,, and I can either wear it straight, or use a curling iron,, and put some fun sexy curls in it,, and just take my fingers and mess w/ it.
Soooo easy,, and I have had several compliments. After I cut it,,, I have been noticing how many people have short hair.
It will be to my shoulders in no time,, if I decide to go it back out... Shorter hair grows faster,,, not to mention how much healthier it is now!!!
Go for it,, cut it in a short bob..........it feels so much cooler.

I have very thin hair, and it doesnt grow very often. Ive tried curling it, I have had body perms, they make my hair to curly and frizzy, and when it falls out my hair is even shorter.. Anyone have any ideas for styles for thin hair and how to make it grow.

I had the same problem. The stylist said that we need layers. We are not to have the heaviness on top. I also found if I roll my hair wet and sleep in it....that works for volume. Don't use too much products on your hair like gel, mousse, etc.....It will weigh your hair down. Use a little. Also, after you dry your hair, put it in a ponytail on top of your head like BamBam.....wait 30 min. and let it out....it should be fluffy!! Good luck

After shampooing, bend over and brush it so it's all hanging down. Blowdry on low while brushing. It adds body. I also have the same problem, but usually braid it in a single braid at night. That will give you wave %26amp; thickness the next day.

Hey i have sorta the same problem. my hair is super stick stright and it wont stay curly for more then like 20 minuites. (perms only work for 1 week for me)get your dead ends cut off every 3 weeks, and don't get your perms... if you REALLY need curly hair use a curling iorn... even though thats not good for your hair either.

The 80's rocked! Well, maybe with the exception of neon colors. There were so many different styles available then, and did you know, the preppy look originated in the 80's? Before then, you were just conservative or hip. The phrase "preppy look" was coined in the early 80's and has stuck for fashionable but conservative style.
My favorite clothing item from the 80's was the jeans. They made you look incredible and you didn't have that little roll thing that often happens with low rider jeans. I miss the real waistline on tight jeans. I'm sure they will come back though, in a few years. The other thing I love from the 80's is big hair. I have the perfect hair for it. I keep hearing rumors that it is coming back. I hope so! Everything else from the 80's has.

rickiejo, I loved the 40's because if you look closely, you'll see amazing stitching and details to the women's clothing. I also liked the colors. Alot of contrasting. Aqua and brown, black and white, etc. I was a kid in the 60's and I wore Neru jackets and paisley was real popular. I didn't appreciate it at the time but now I think it's kinda cool. Hair styles, well I think the 60's because I liked the height and of course the flip with the headband. Also, the boy look like Twiggy wore was very cute for small faces. Halle Berry was wearing up to a few years ago.

My gal and I have some clothing from 1912-1933. She is easier to fit than I am...a bit easier, for she is 5'0.5", 97 lbs. and I am 6'1", 310-340 lbs. Most oof it is hers actually. I've had tailors make me old-style suitts. I did an illustrated book on clothing, so I just show it to my tailors and see if they ccan copy what I want. She often wears 1930's to 1940's hairstyles. We buy wigs for other periods.

um, the 20's were cool, as were the 30's, and some stuff from the 40's. the 60's were cool too. i really like the hairstyles now though, w/ either long straight and layered or curly.

The best source would probably be Hair Magazines including the fact that they give you the information and details of HOW to do the hairstyle.
Also, looking up on the Internet for good hairstyles that fit you/your personality. Look through the Yahoo Search engine, or any search engine, and look for hair websites. Get your ideas from there.

braids- 1 or 2, french braids (search how to french braid on Q search), side braid
ponytails- half, side, pigtails
buns- loose and messy
gel- scrunch it
iron- straighten it, curl it, crimp it
accessories- headbands, scarves, cute clips, cute bows, bandanas.
hair part- part it on the side
bangs- clip them up
here are some suggestions to get wavy/curly hair. i havent tried some of them, but i ve heard that they work-
curl with iron or rollers
put some hairspray in ur hair before going to bed and the tossing and moving will create random waves
braid ur hair and when u remove it there will be waves
put some defining product in ur hair and keep twirling it around ur finger. then, finger comb gently through to separate the waves
use sea salt spray or surf spray. sea salt will give really pretty beach waves
scruch it with gel

I like to look online at Oscars etc. Then when I see someone whose look I like, I research pictures of them. The last was Heather Locklear. Then I make sure I have a stylist who is an artist. That is hard to find. I know the two Aveda salons in town each have artists. They do good training and have high standards. You might try them.

You might want to try at a local book store. You can find really neat hairstyle mags for cheap and once you buy a few you can keep them for a little while due to trends not changing for a year or two. And some styles are classic!!

The hairstyle mags from the grocery store or book store are good. Some have more detailed pics than others. But take it along to the stylist to help you decide what will work for your hair. Take notice to the types of pictures you look at there usually is a theme amoung the pics.

I think there's one called hairstyles.com. You do have to pay a subscription, but you can upload a photo of your face, and "try out" the hairstyles you're considering.
As far as perfume, I wore Beautiful by Estee Lauder on my wedding day, and still only wear it for "special" occasions (like anniversaries, etc.) I really like Amazing Grace (by philosophy) and I also like their Falling in Love fragrance. If you're wanting to pick a special scent for your wedding, the best way to do it is to go to a department store, and try no more than 2 at a time--1 on each arm. Don't buy anything that day, let the chemicals and scent develop, and see how you like it an hour or so later. Keep doing this until you find one you like.

Theknot.com and weddingchannel.com have large photo galleries. (I found theknot's to be easier to navigate, and I thought its pictures were much more to-date.)
If you have any bridal magazines, I suggest flipping those and paying careful attention to the hairstyles in the bridal gown ads. I liked these styles more than the ones on theknot, and it's easier to take a copy of the magazine to your hairstylist than a printout that might not have good quality.

try a bluntly cut layered bob with side swept bangs. alteretavley ask your hairdresser for opinions on what would suit you face shape etc. you will need to get quite a bit off it if you want to get rid of split ends!!!

either try a female mohawk like one of the americas next top model contestants...or try lots and lots of layers hannah montana bangs...brown hair with blonde and red highlights or... get a chocolate brown undertone with wispy side bangs and shoulder length....or a pixie hair cut with highlights but if you have a chubby or fat face than short hair would look...well...kinda... if your a guy, then you should consider getting your hair buzzed all the way down, as short as you can go without being able to see the scalp, and have your hairline straight at the front. That's what im considering doing this summer or sometime soon. I flip the front of my hair up normally but this sounds better.

2. Segregate at least and inch thick of hair on the parted side.
3. Put the rest of the hair up into a simple bun in the back. and tie it with an accessory (flower) to make it look elegant.

I agree with Kelsey. Trying something new starts something new. If you want to try a hairstyle without cutting it..just to see how it would look. Buy a cheap wig and cut all you want then try it on. olol
